Until recently marriages took
place in either a Church or Registry Office, but with the recent changes
to the Marriage Act (England & Wales) venue points and historical
buildings are now able to apply to their local Council Offices to be
licensed for weddings. So the possibilities have opened up considerably,
but it is felt that the majority of couples will still opt for the
traditional religious ceremony in church, but only time will tell.
